Verizon DROID Incredible OTA update commences
Verizon has started pushing out the latest OTA update for the DROID Incredible. The update mainly includes bug fixes, though Verizon is including their new VCAST Apps store. Downloading an installing the 17.7 MB file should take less than 20 minutes (if nothing goes wrong). If you’re not sure what to do once the update notification pops up on your DROID Incredible, Verizon has put together a handy document with detailed installation instructions. We’re expecting the OTA update to trickle out to DROID Incredible owners over the next weeks or two, so don’t be alarmed if the update doesn’t hit your phone for a few more days.

I got it!!! What is new?

Got it and noticed that it’s “re-booting” (HTC Loading….) a lot coming out of screen inactivity. Also, notices the security pattern sometimes does not come up after locking the phone. Problems problems problems.
This OTA created more issues that it solved. It actually just made sense for one (Flash update). This is just for VZW to sell more stuff and bloat our phones.

Is anyone else having problems after this update? It wiped my bookmarks, contacts and pretty much everything else off of my phone. Also, now my e-mail no longer refreshes automatically. I have to go into each inbox and refresh it manually. I was able to get my contacts back through a data restore, but my phone is seriously messed up after this update. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and a lot of apps no longer work. I get several crash messages every time I boot up and others just don’t work when I try to open. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several apps and that appears to have resolved issues, but others just flat out no longer work. This update was definitely no improvement for me.

Terrible update, reboots! Phone calls dropped! Screen changes for no reason! Google mapping is so slow it’s not worth turning on. Swype messed up. Websites take forever to load because of all the adverizing i am getting ready to PAY FOR with the new billing structures being forced aftertwo year contracts. Just about ready to file a law suit. B.S.
