Nexus One dock clears FCC, could support wireless Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR docking

As expected, news of the Nexus One keeps rolling in. This time around, the FCC has cleared the Nexus One desktop dock. The CR B410 will feature Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, AC adaptor, and an AV connection for those who want to connect their Nexus One to their TV or entertainment center. We’re not exactly sure why Google or HTC included Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR support into the dock since the Nexus One already supports the same functionality. It could be that the Nexus One will be able to connect to the dock through Bluetooth without having to actually place it on the dock. This would allow you to play your phone’s music through your entertainment system while you use your Nexus One to surf the web or chat with your friends.
