Verizon HTC Touch Pro2 to sell for $199 starting September 11th

Verizon Wireless has finally announced the HTC Touch Pro2. The specs of the HTC Touch Pro2 are pretty much in line with Sprint’s version of the phone. The handset will feature a 3.6 inch WVGA resolution (480 x 800) tilting touch screen, 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera, Windows Mobile 6.1, 512 MB of ROM, 288 MB of RAM, Qualcomm MSM 7600A, 528 MHz processor, and a 1500 mAh battery. The Verizon Touch Pro2 will have CDMA and GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) connectivity, making it a world phone. The best part about Verizon’s version of the handset is that it will be available for $199 after a $100 mail-in rebate on a two year agreement. It may seem like a lot of money, but that’s a full $150 cheaper than T-Mobile and Sprint’s versions of the HTC Touch Pro2. The phone will be available to order tomorrow, September 11th from www.verizonwireless.com or your local Verizon Wireless store.
