More new HTC handsets show their faces

For months, I’ve been wondering who would be the first to pick up HTC’s new Whitestone handset. When it was first leaked, the design of the handset intrigued a most people since it features a little kickstand on the back which would allow you to place the HTC Whitestone on a table or any flat surface and allow you to enjoy your media without having to hold the device. WM Experts is now reporting that the Whitestone will be heading over to Verizon some time between September and October of this year.

  • WM6.1 (should be upgradeable to WM 6.5)
  • 512MB ROM/256MB RAM
  • 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen
  • Qualcomm 7600 @ 528MHz
  • gpsOne (aGPS and full GPS)
  • 5-megapixel autofocus camera/Anti-handshaking
  • GSM/CDMA World phone

Along with news on the Whitestone, WM Experts also was able to scrounge up some more details on the HTC Mega. Last week we posted a few images of what HTC’s new modified TouchFLO 2D interface would look life from the leaked ROM of the HCT Mega, now we get to see what the handset will actually look like. As expected, the Mega will not be a high-end handset, but will offer a great Windows mobile experience for those who are on a tighter budget. There’s no details on who will be offering the HTC Mega or when it’ll hit the streets. But as you can see from the list of features below, it’ll be running WM 6.5, so don’t expect the Mega to be available for at least a few more months.

  • WM6.5
  • Qualcomm 7225@ 528 MHz
  • 256MB ROM/256MB RAM
  • 2.8-inch QVGA (240×320)
  • GSM/GPRS Edge/HSDPA
  • 3-megapixel fixed-focus camera
  • gpsOne
