HTC Magic getting Sense UI in October

Critics claim that the HTC Hero is by far the most advanced HTC handset on the market, but if you take a step back and look at HTC’s other Android offerings you will notice that the Hero is nothing more than an HTC Magic with a shiny new case and a 5MP camera. Oh and don’t forget about that flashy Sense UI as well.

After the Hero was announced, HTC did mention that they were working on bringing the new UI to other HTC handsets.  In October, HTC will deliver on that promise and offer the Sense UI to HTC Magic owners…. in Taiwan some time in October.  It’s unclear when other HTC magic owners will be able to get the new UI from HTC, but I’m sure you’ll be able to pick up a new ROM with the UI tweaks from xda-developers in due time. If you’re sporting the new T-Mobile myTouch 3G or any other HTC Magic handset with the "with Google" logo on the back of your phone, you’re out of luck.  It’s been mentioned in the past that any phone sporting the "with Google" branding will most likely not be getting any custom tweaks, apps, of UI’s from manufacturers.
