Introducing the Android Network Awards!

For a while now, it’s been getting quite difficult to keep track of all the great new applications that pop up on the Android Market every day.  Here at HTC Source we do our best to keep you informed about the new apps that we think are great, but now things are going to get a little easier.  The community of Android sites and blogs is coming together to create the Android Network Awards, a great new way to highlight and award some of the best apps for the Android platform.

Those directly involved in the project (that included HTC Source) will be selecting a handful of apps for 25 different categories.  Once the initual setup is complete, the voting process will be handed over to you, the readers of HTC Source and many other Android blogs across the web.

We have quite a few sites already working hard to get the various categories finalized and selecting the apps.  Below is a quite list of some of the sites that are participating in this effort:

We’re adding more sites every day, so I’m sure you’ll see more news about the ANA on other sites in the coming days.  Here’s a quick list of dates to keep your eyes on.  (we’re working on a Google Calendar that you can add to your calendar on your android phones)
