T-Mobile announces the T-Mobile Dash 3G

It is our pleasure to present to you the all new T-Mobile Dash 3G! T-Mobile has finally sent out their official press release, letting us know that they will be launching the Dash 3G (aka the HTC Snap) some time in July. the T-Mobile Dash 3G will be replacing the original HTC made T-Mobile Dash. The new handset will feature Windows Mobile 6.1, a 3G chipset, GPS, Wifi (802.11 b/g), and a fancy little trackball to replace the D-Pad.

The press release references some research by the Yankee Group that states that nearly 41 percent of phone buyers are inclined to opt for a smartphone. I’d imagine that T-Mobile is looking to capitalize on these customers, especially since most smartphone users are more likely to sign up for 3G data packages.

Like always, we’re still waiting on a price for the T-Mobile Dash 3G and an exact date, but word on the street is that it is still slated to hit stores on July 1.
