HTC makes its first entry into the TOP 5

First, I’d like to apologize to all the readers of HTC Source. this past week was very hectic as my "real" job. It’s tough when I can’t get a blog post in, be even worse when I get backed up on my personal email. I’m hoping this week will go a lot better and there’s a lot of new I need to share.

It’s not often that CNN writes anything about the HTC make T-Mobile G1. This time is not different. This morning they posted a story stating that the iphone did not rank as the number one in smartphone sales for Q1 in the United States. The BlackBerry Curve to the top spot (and two others in the top 5). Not surprisingly, the T-mobile G1 was slotted at number 5, marking HTC’s highest sales ranking ever for one of their smartphones. The article does note that the BlackBerry phones do have an unfair advantage over the iPhone and the G1 since they former phones are available on more than on U.S. carrier. Regardless, HTC should be proud that their first Android powered phone has made it onto the top 5 list. Oh and don’t forget that T-Mobile has the fewest customers than any of the other major carriers.
