Poor countries are the new target market for HTC

 

The next big market for HTC may be a third world country.  HTC, which is the number one manufacturer of Windows mobile devices on the planet see developing countries as a key target for their devices.  Many of these countries already have a wireless infrastructure in place and HTC is hoping to deliver devices to the masses which will get them connected to the internet and the rest of the world.  Microsoft has argued for a while that Windows Mobile is key in getting developing nations on par with the rest of the world. Now, it seems HTC may be jumping on board in an effort to deliver a mobile communications device for the masses and give them a proper internet experience.  To pull this off, HTC will have to deliver a device that will be cheaper than the netbooks we have seen pop up lately.
