Who will carry the Touch Diamond in the U.S. ?

Sprint HTC Touch DiamondT-Mobile HTC Touch Diamond

Within the next few months, we'll be seeing images of the HTC Touch Diamond showing up, courtesy of our good friends at the FCC since HTC is poised to make the Diamond their best selling device ever.  We already know that Spring has big plans for the Touch Diamond (and also the Raphael which HTC has not yet announced), but who else will be picking up the Diamond here in the states?  Our gut feeling it that T-Mobile may be the first to carry the Diamond out of the GSM carriers.  T-Mobile just launched their new 1700 MHz 3G network last week in New York, with plans to cover most large cities by the end of the year.  Along those lines, the Touch Diamond will be one of the first devices to ship with 1700 MHz 3G support and it would make a bold statement for T-Mobile to let everyone know they now offer 3G.

Lets just cross our fingers and wait to see what happens.  There are a lot of people out there who thing T-Mobile has become irrelevant since they have waited for so long to launch their 3G network.  But with Sprint facing tough times, losing customers by the thousands every day, it just shows that there's a lot more to a good service provider than a fast network.
